Revolutionizing
lophophora cultivation.
Leveraging decades of expertise in plant genetics with world class analytical chemistry to develop bespoke lophophora cultivars. Our innovative approach ensures that we supply only the highest potency cured cacti across a broad range of active alkaloid profiles setting a new standard for the industry.
“Peyote (Lophophora williamsii) is a small, spineless cactus which contains psychoactive alkaloids, particularly mescaline. Peyote is a Spanish word derived from the Nahuatl peyōtl, meaning “caterpillar cocoon”, from a root peyōni, “to glisten”.”
Our Passion is Genetics
var. texana
A northern variety that contains high levels of mescaline and n-methyl mescaline.
sp. fricii
Known as “false peyote” this species contains lots of pellotine but very little mescaline.
sp. alberto-vojtechii
The smallest lophophora species, in our analysis it doesn’t contain mescaline but is loaded with other alkaloids.
sp. koehresii
Thin, pointed and unusually long petals give this species away. Like fricii it is full of pellotine with almost no mescaline
var. jourdaniana
Distinctive flowers and spines, widely reported to contain mescaline but we haven’t detected it.
sp. diffusa
With white flowers and pale green skin this species doesn’t produce mescaline but has been used for its other alkaloids.
Cultivars and Hybrids
cv. floridus
Commercial production of lophophora requires producing large quantities of seed so we have developed a variety that flowers profusely from all areoles.
F1 hybrid
Intergeneric hybrids are also possible with other species but are not always stable.
cv. pilosus
This variety produces enlarged woolly areoles and grows in columnar form rather than globose.
